Night shift, no witnesses
One clean pass across the celestial floor.
The route begins when the last comet clears. Sweep takes one silent lap, gathers stray glitter and leaves only three approved sparks behind.
Sweep was assigned the quietest job in the sky: clearing yesterday from the orbit before dawn. It never hurries. The bright arc takes the long edge, the dark arc catches what slips underneath, and three sparks inspect the finish. By sunrise, every wandering wish is stacked neatly beyond the moon, ready for the next night.
Leave the stars cleaner than found.
